About Chiropractic
Chiropractic can help you feel better from head to toe!
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic care is a patient-centred, non-invasive, hands-on, regulated health care profession focused on your spine, muscles, joints and nervous system.
Doctors of Chiropractic use the best available evidence and clinical expertise to diagnose issues that affect your body’s movement. They treat those issues without medication or surgery and prevent them from returning. Chiropractic care can also promote health and improve your quality of life, as well as alleviate pain.
Chiropractors use a combination of treatments, all of which are predicated on the specific needs of the individual patient. After taking a complete history and diagnosing a patient’s issue, a chiropractor can develop and carry out a comprehensive treatment plan, recommend therapeutic exercise and other non-invasive therapies, and provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counselling.
For many conditions, such as lower back pain, chiropractic care is frequently the primary method of treatment. Chiropractic care may also be used to provide symptomatic relief for patients with chronic conditions by treating the neuromusculoskeletal elements of such disorders, thereby improving the general well-being of the patient.

What to Expect During Your First Visit
It is important for your chiropractor to understand how your body functions as a whole and this means having a complete picture of your health history and overall current health. You will be asked about the following:
-
Personal and family medical history
-
Major illnesses you have experienced
-
Surgeries or operations you have had
-
Medications you are taking
-
A description of your current condition
-
The steps you have taken to manage your condition
-
Your diet and exercise
-
Your sleeping habits, daily activities, work routine, stress level, and home life
Your first visit in our office will last approximately 60 minutes. It is advised to wear comfortable clothing and bring any imaging reports you have.
During your exam your chiropractor will perform some of these tests:
-
Analysis of your posture
-
Analysis of your movement- walking, turning, bending
-
Test your reflexes, strength, and sensations
-
Hands on evaluation of how well your spine moves, identifying restrictions and areas of improper motion
These evaluations allow your chiropractor to make a diagnosis and prescribe a course of treatment.
Thank you for your referrals! When you refer a patient to chiropractic care at our clinic, you will receive $20 off a future adjustment.
